Qt performance

I was just going through the following link. http://blog.algolia.com/need-performance-on-mobile-use-c-cpp/ [blog.algolia.com] I was wondering whether apps done with Qt can be faster on ios and Android than apps done with their respective native apis (Objc and Java). There should be some performance loss from signals and slots. But still it should be faster. What do you think.
